From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a colorful mix of personalities, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in strength within the city.
Warning: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.
This warrior group includes the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
With an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are rare.
Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the team knows exactly where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the secret base, striking the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
The traitor then cleared his debts and escaped to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each member has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile location.
- The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- But, their position as key figures in House Halovar could help the party access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
- The strong figure and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This results in them few options but to travel to Timmony in search of Casimir.

Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight cast members to form the Seekers and Strategists tables.
